Darja Wendel is an Industrial Designer
Since she can remember, Darja has been obsessively fascinated by people and the ways they interact with things and each other. After realizing the impact an object can have, from sparking a little moment of delight to profoundly changing how a someone perceives the world, she decided to channel her fascination into craft.
Darja’s work marries beauty with a deep understanding of the contextual and strategic intention of the design itself. With this macro perspective, Darja perfects the micro elements that shape new-to-the-world products and experiences, provoking a true visceral response.
Darja’s pursuit of creating aesthetic and considerate solutions for a brought range of industries, such as consumer electronics, healthcare, industrial tools and professional equipment has taken her throughout Western Europe. Working for companies such as Atlas Copco, Bosch Home Appliances, Teams Design, MEQU- a danish medical start up and IDEO. Her academic career includes a bachelor’s degree from Hochschule für Gestaltung Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany, along with a semester at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest and Master studies in Advanced Product Design at Umeå Institute of Design, Sweden.
